Hello!

My name is Audrey Babbitt and I am a athlete and student. For the past five months I've been training for the St George Ironman 70.3. I've spent countless hours in the pool, on my bike, and on early morning runs. I've gone in the snow, rain, and on days I've felt incredibly miserable. Moving my body brings me so much joy that cannot be compared to anything else in my life.

On Saturday May 10th I woke up with my mom to catch a bus in downtown St George. Neither of us got much sleep but we were running on pre race nerves that kept our eyes wide open. That day was long, hot, and joyous. We both were celebrating a journey full of challenges, excitement, and support. This was a huge accomplishment and I was amazed with what I was able to do.

At the end of the day, during the awards ceremony, I realized I could go to Spain for the World Championships. I had so much excitement and nerves as I waited to see if they'd call my name. After two and a half hours of waiting they did! Oh my god I'm going to Spain!
